Shuttle introduces Mini-PC Barebone for Sechskern CPUs
The model is based on Intel’s X58 SX58J3 express chipset. It supports all Intel Core i7 processors for socket 1366 and up to 16 GB of DDR3 RAM. The price is € 559.
Shuttle has expanded its Mini PC fujitsu lifebook t5010 battery portfolio with the XPC Barebone model SX58J3. It supports all Intel Core i7 processors for socket 1366, including the Sechskern CPU Core i7-980X (codenamed Gulftown). The aluminum housing provides space for one 5.25-inch drive and two internal 3.5-inch devices.
The base is Intel’s X58 Express Chipset. In four memory banks can be mounted up to 16 GByte DDR3-1066/1333/1600-RAM that works in triple-channel mode.
For discrete graphics solutions with two PCI Express x16 slots are available. However, can not use two graphics cards with double-width simultaneously.
For hard drives, four internal and two external 3-GBit/s-SATA-Anschlüsse with RAID support (modes 0, 1, 5, 10) are available. Also offers the XPC SX58J3 two Gigabit Ethernet ports, a 7.1-channel HD audio chip, a 4-in-1 card reader, a power supply for eSATA drives, and eleven USB 2.0 ports (one onboard lenovo thinkpad t60 battery). The power of the system takes a 500-watt power supply with Active PFC circuitry and 80-plus certification.
